Ansons Solicitors advised the shareholders of Nidd Transport Limited on their sale of the international freight shipping business for a sale price of £4.6m to AIM listed Xpediator plc.
The Ripon based business was set up 36 years ago by Tony White who has developed the business into an international, multi-million pound turnover company. Tony will remain with the company for a handover period, with the management team remaining in place longer term and will continue to run the business under the Nidd brand.
Jamie Gill, who led the Ansons teams, commented “It was a pleasure to work with Tony and the team. This is another successful deal undertaken by Ansons in an uncertain climate and we were pleased to achieve completion in around two months, under a challenging Covid environment.”
Tony White, further commented “Thank you to Jamie and the team for their efforts over the last few weeks and in particular in bringing this matter to a conclusion. Jamie guided and advised us through every step of the process, which proved invaluable as I had not anticipated the work involved, particularly in relation to the due diligence process and the run up to completion.”
Jamie Gill, Associate Director in the corporate team, and Laura Pyatt, Associate Director in the commercial property team, advised the shareholders on this disposal.
The sellers were also advised by Neil Carpenter of FFS Associates (Forward-thinking Financial Strategy & Solutions) and by Lisa Stevenson of Parisi Tax. Xpediator was advised by BDB Pitmans.
